Aeroflot Cargo

Aeroflot Cargo was a subsidiary of the Russian airline Aeroflot, which exclusively transported freight. In June 2009, she was reintegrated into the parent company.

History

The cargo area of Aeroflot was founded on 26 October 2005 and registered on 19 April 2006 as an independent company. Flight operations commenced on 19 December 2006. Due to the independence Aeroflot hoped to increase effectiveness, but the subsidiary from the beginning brought a no profit. Thus, the Supervisory Board of the company Aeroflot, for debt in the amount of 5 billion rubles (about 115 million euros ) decided in June 2009 at the parent company, bankrupt to explain and Aeroflot Cargo reintegrate them into the group. In the first quarter of 2009 Aeroflot Cargo transported 21,582 tons of cargo, which represents a decrease of 35 % over the previous year.

Aeroflot Cargo flew to Europe via the airport Frankfurt -Hahn. Cargo flights were made to and from Japan, People's Republic of China ( PVG, SHA, BJS, PEK, Hong Kong ) and Russia ( SVO).
