The Aetna, Inc. is a provider of health services for workers in the United States. Aetna is a direct successor of the " Aetna Insurance Company " from Hartford, Connecticut. The company is listed on the stock index S & P 500.

In 1850, the company published the first life insurance policy. This happened thirty years after the founding of the company.

Divisions
