AFC Challenge Cup

The AFC Challenge Cup is one in every two years by the Asian Football Confederation ( AFC) material discharged football tournament for national teams from the less powerful countries of the continent. The first edition was held in 2006 in Bangladesh instead. Since 2008, with the winners of the last two lotteries are qualified for all four -yearly Asia Championship. Record winner with two titles is North Korea.

The first edition was still held with 16 teams, the eight participants in the Knockout Round determined in four groups of four teams. From the second discharge was attended only eight teams and it was preceded by a qualification, in which also the later hosts had to qualify, but some teams were qualified for the final competition. As of 2014, the host is determined in advance and must not qualify.
