Afghan National Police
The Afghan National Police ( paschto. د افغانستان ملي پولیس, Persian پلیس ملی افغانستان, short ANP) is the police of the state of Afghanistan. In October 2010, it had a staff of 120,000.
The structure of the ANP is as follows:
Other police forces are: Criminal (English: Criminal Investigation Department ), Counter Narcotics Police of Afghanistan and Afghan Public Protection Force ( APPF ).
The Afghanistan National Auxiliary Police ( ANAP ) existed from 2006 to 2008. Whether the Afghan Highway Police still exists, is unclear.
