Afif-Abad Garden

Afif - Ābād ( Bāgh Afif - Ābād or Bāgh Golschan ) is the name of a 127 000 m² of gardens in the western part of the city of Shiraz in Iran.

Main House

The main house of the garden was built in 1863 by Mirza Ali Mohammad Khan Qavam in the architectural style of the Qajar using Achaemenid architectural style elements and restored in 1962. The terrace of the main building reliefs adorn with motifs of flowers and Persepolis reliefs and tiles with scenes from the Shahnameh. The public -access main building now serves as a military museum with weapons from all eras of Persian history.

Garden

The walled garden is home to trees such as cypresses, firs, pines, willows and orange trees and two ponds with fish. The Limak stream which rises in the Qasr -e Qomsheh 15 km away, watered the garden.
