Aflao

Aflao is a place in the Volta Region in the West African state of Ghana, on the border with Togo and its capital Lome. At the last census of the country on 26 March 2000, there were 38,927 residents in the city. Extrapolations from 1 January 2007 estimate the population to 48 876 inhabitants. Even in the census of the year 1984 20.904 inhabitants were listed. Even in 1970 the population was a mere 1,397 inhabitants.

Currently, the city lies in the 29th position in the list of the largest cities in Ghana.
