African Regional Intellectual Property Organization

The African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (African Regional Intellectual Property Organization - ARIPO ) is an international organization for cooperation among African states in patent law and other industrial property issues. She has the expertise, applications for patents and trademarks in its member States which are members of the Harare (patents ) and Banjul ( brands) protocols are to hear. It has the WIPO ST.3 code AP.

Its 16 member countries are predominantly English-speaking. Another organization, the Organization Africaine de la Propriété Intellectual, comprises mainly French-speaking Africa.

The official name of the organization changed in 2005 by African Regional Industrial Property Organization in African Regional Intellectual Property Organization
