Afridi
The Afridi (antique Aparytai? ), ( Urdu: آفریدی ), ( Pashto: اپريدي ) are a tribe of Pashtuns with about 315,000 people.
Their settlement area ( Sefidkuh ) ( 2600 km ²) is located in the Khyber Pass Peschawartal in eastern Afghanistan. In historical times the Afridi were regarded as warlike people.
The tribe is divided into eight clans:
- Adam Khel
- Aka Khel
- Kamar Khel
- Kambar Khel
- Kuki Khel
- Malikdin Khel
- Zakka Khel
- Sipah
