Action
Antoine Letoux worked as head waiter in the restaurant Chez Jean, which is headed by his mother. After a stressful day at work, he has a date with his girlfriend Christine for dinner, too late, however. He takes a shortcut through the park, where he sees a man tried to hang himself. He saves his life and takes the depressive man home with you. Before Christine he pretends that it is a cousin of him. Because of this his grandparents sent a farewell letter by mail, Antoine goes with him to the grandparents, where he learns for the first time that his counterpart is called Louis. He must of visually impaired grandmother read the letter, and invents a story. At the same time learns Antoine from the letter that Louis is severely broken heart, he was yet surprisingly dumped by his great love Blanche. Antoine have to drive to the grandmother of a friend and the horrified Louis, who is hiding in the back seat, learns from their conversation that they brought to Blanche to leave Louis, but they believed that the two do not match.
Antoine Louis brings to the restaurant, where the standing in shock Man gets too close to the flame and flambé the catches fire. He was taken to the hospital. Antoine Blanche seeks to multiply and learns first that she will marry soon as he later sees her fiancé with another woman and Blanche opens her eyes, that unfaithful to her boyfriend. Separates you from him and brings Antoine to kiss her when her boyfriend suddenly stands before the door. With Louis it comes under its uphill. He gets by Antoine use the position of sommelier at Chez Jean and manages after some initial difficulties, even to convince the stern mother of Antoine of his abilities. Nevertheless, he has time and again periods of great depression.
Antoine and Blanche see more often. One day meets Antoine during a dinner with Blanche also Christine, who has gone to the same restaurant with Louis. They visited him shortly afterwards at Chez Jean, where Louis presents its prompt Antoine. Consternation they fled out of the restaurant. Louis hurries after her. In the car, he gives her with her Lighter and recognizes the lighter back, which he has given to Antoine. He realized that Antoine and Blanche love. One week he goes into hiding, but then returns back to his work because he had allegedly been ill. He invites Antoine and for the evening meal. However, at the reserved table sits Blanche - Louis has threaded a rendezvous between her and Antoine. The wine for the evening he himself has chosen. While Louis makes whistling on the way to the park, swap Antoine and Blanche in the restaurant their first official kiss.

The film experienced on October 18, 2003 at the Saint -Jean -de -Luz Film Festival premiered and ran on 13 December 2003 in French cinemas on. In Germany the film was released on 1 June 2006 out straight to DVD and was seen on 7 June 2007 in the Bavarian television for the first time on German television. In Germany the film was released under the alternative title all love Blanche.

Daniel Auteuil won the 2004 Étoile d'Or for Best Actor. He was also nominated for a 2004 César for Best Actor.
