ag2r La Mondiale

Ag2r La Mondiale or short ag2r is a French cycling team, which has a license as a ProTeam.

The team is a member of the Mouvement Pour un Cyclisme Credible (short MPCC; German movement for a credible cycling ). The main sponsor is since 2000 the insurer AG2R La Mondiale. His seat has it in La Motte- Servolex.

History

The team was founded in 1992 by the former French cyclist Vincent Lavenu and launched until 1995 under the name of Chazal. In 1996, the name change to Petit Casino before 1997 as a Casino ag2r Prévoyance was launched until 1999. From 2000 to 2007, the team started as ag2r Prévoyance ( prévoyance - about: retirement - is one of the service areas of the insurer AG2R La Mondiale ).

Ag2r La Mondiale in 2005 he took on the UCI Europe Tour part and received a wildcard for the Tour de France 2005. For the 2006 season the team had applied for a ProTour license, which was also awarded to him on 28 November 2005.
