Agafya Grushetskaya

Agafya Semyonovna Gruschezkaja (Russian Агафья Семёновна Грушецкая, scientific transliteration Agaf'ja Semenovna Grušeckaja, .. * 1665, † 14 Julijul / July 24 1681greg ) was as the wife of Feodor III. Czarina of Russia.

Life

She was born as the daughter of Semyon Fyodorovich Gruschezki, a Russian nobleman of Polish descent, and his wife Maria Ivanovna Zaborowski.

On July 28, 1680, she was 15 years old and Tsar Fyodor III. married from Russia, her husband was four years older and was Tsar for four years. She bore her husband a son, Tsarevich Ilya (* July 11, 1681; † July 21, 1681 ), who died at the age of 10 days.

Agafya died in childbirth, just three days after her son, and four days before their one-year wedding anniversary. She was buried in the Archangel Michael Cathedral in Moscow.
