Agal (accessory)

A Agal (Arabic عقال, DMG ʿ AQAL ), is a cord that ( an Arab headdress) is used on the head for better grip of the Keffiyeh. Usually the Agal is black.

The Agal usually consists of a wool core to the black yarns are wound very tightly in order to achieve the necessary stiffness.
