Agapenor
Agapenor (Greek Ἀγαπήνωρ ) In Greek mythology, the son of Ancaeus and king of the Arcadian Tegea. A daughter is Laodice.
After Alcmaeon of Pronoos and Agenor, had been killed the brothers of his wife Arsinoe, Arsinoe disapproved of this act. Then her brothers locked her in a box and handed them over Agapenor as a slave under the false accusation that she was the murderer of Alcmaeon.
Agapenor was a suitor of Helen, and leader of the Arcadians before Troy. On the way home from Troy, he was driven by Kypros, where he founded the sanctuary of Aphrodite in Paphos.
