Agata Karczmarek

Agata Karczmarek (born Jaroszek; born November 29, 1963 in Warsaw ) is a retired Polish long jumper.

Your athletic career began as a gymnast. In 1980 she took part in the Olympic Games in Moscow.

After her move to athletics, she was at the IAAF World Indoor Athletics Championships 1987 in Indianapolis Sixth, at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul and at the Seventh World Indoor Championships 1989 Sixth.

After an off in qualifying at the World Athletics Championships 1991 in Tokyo, she was at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona Tenth, at the World Championships in Stuttgart in 1993 Eighth, at the European Championships in Helsinki in 1994 Sixth, at the 1995 World Championships in Gothenburg Seventh and the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta sixth.

At the World Indoor Championships in Paris in 1997, she won bronze at last with a medal at a major international event. At the 1997 World Championships in Athens and 1999 in Seville she was disqualified in the first round. In 2000, she ended her sports career.
