Agence nationale de la recherche

The Agence nationale de la recherche (ANR ) is an institution for the promotion of science and research in France.

The ANR was established on 7 February 2005 as a Public Interest Group ( Groupement d' interet public) and on 1 August 2006 in a public institution ( établissement public à caractère administratif ) transferred. It funds research projects of public research organizations and private companies. In 2009, she had for a budget of 955 million euros.

From 2007 to 2010, Jacques Stern was Chairman of the Board of ANR, he was succeeded by Eva Pebay - Peyroula.
