Agenesis
The term agenesis (synonyms: agenesia, agenesis ) is used in medicine and veterinary medicine to describe the complete absence of an organ due to a ( genetic ) agenesis.
This is a form of inhibition malformation whose date of origin is the aplasia before.
Examples are lack of facilities of the corpus callosum ( corpus callosum agenesis ) of the appendix, liver, spleen, thyroid, epididymis and parathyroid glands.
