Agia Varvara, Heraklion

Agia Varvara (Greek Αγία Βαρβάρα ( f sg ), Saint Barbara ', named after the main church of the village ) is a small town in the same district of the municipality Gortyna near the island's capital Heraklion on the island of Crete.

By Agia Varvara the busy north- south route from Heraklion runs in the Messara plain and the south coast of the island.
