Agnès b.

Agnès b. (* 1941 in Versailles as Agnès Andrée Marguerite Troublé ) is a French fashion designer.

Life

Agnès Troublé got twins with 19 and divorced at 20. After graduating from the École des Beaux -Arts in Versailles, she started as an editor at ELLE, but remained there less than two years. She worked for Dorothée Bis in Paris and designed from 1965 freelance for Limitex, Pierre d' Alby, V de V and Eversbin. In 1966 she founded CMC ( Comptoir Mondial de Creation ), from which the brand agnès b. grew. In 1975 she opened her first boutique in Les Halles.

Agnès b. began in 1981 to design clothes for men. Their first international store opened in 1983 at the Prince Street in the SoHo district of New York.

1987 launched agnès b. skin care and cosmetics line " Le B Perfume ". Over time, they also designed pregnancy clothes, shoes and bags. In addition, agnès b has. also watches and eyewear designed for Seiko and a beauty series for L' Oréal.

It promotes the arts and has among other things, Gaspar Noé's film Irréversible (2002) financed.

Prizes and awards

• On 21 May 1985 she was appointed Knight of the Ordre national du Mérite and promoted to officer in 1997.

• In 2000 she was appointed Knight of the Legion of Honour.
