Agnes Esterhazy

Agnes Esterhazy, and the Countess Agnes Esterhazy and Agnes Esterhazy (born 15 January 1891 in Cluj-Napoca, † April 4, 1956 in Munich, born Agnes Countess of Josika Branyitska ) was an Austrian actress.

Life

The daughter of the Earl of Josika Branyitska and his wife, the Countess born Agnes Esterhazy, had married in 1910 and left after the end of World War I their home in Transylvania, who had come to Romania. In Budapest, she received her first film role in 1920, and in 1923 she came at the invitation of Sascha film to Vienna.

Here followed her next film, and soon after she went to Munich, Berlin. Esterhazy took over in the 1920s, numerous supporting roles, sometimes leading roles in German films. Even in the classic The Joyless Street she performed.

With the beginning of the sound film era around 1930 her film career was virtually ended. They still played theater at various stages, particularly in Ostrava. In 1943, she came to her last little film appearance. She was married to the actor Fritz Schulz.
