Agnès Letestu

Agnès Letestu ( born 1 February 1971) is a French ballet dancer. She has held the rank of étoile at the Paris Opera Ballet.

Life

Letestu began at the age of 8 years old to take ballet lessons and joined the Ballet School in 1983 at the Paris Opera. At 16 she was a member of the corps de ballet of the Paris Opera. On 31 October 1997, it was named after a Swan - danseuse étoile the idea. Her repertoire includes almost all the main and title roles of the classical and modern ballet history.

Some modern choreographers have created works especially for them, including

  • William Forsythe ( Pas / parts )
  • Roland Petit ( Debussy pour 7 danseurs, Passacaille )
  • José Montalvo (Le rire de la lyre )

Letestu is also active as a costume designer. It's designed for Mi favorita, Delibes Suite and Scaramouche, all choreographed her colleague José Carlos Martínez, the costumes.
