Agnes Morton

Agnes Mary " Agatha " Morton ( born March 6, 1872 in Halstead, Essex, † April 5, 1952 in Kensington, London) was a British tennis player.

Career

Agatha Morton reached in 1908 and 1909 respectively the final of the Wimbledon Championships, but lost it in 1908 against Charlotte Cooper and 1909 against Dora Boothby. In 1914 she eventually won the second time at Wimbledon discharged double competition with her doubles partner Elizabeth Ryan Hannan against Edith and Ethel Larcombe 6:1, 6:3. At the Olympic Games 1908 in London, she missed a medal. She lost the quarter-final match against Dorothea Douglass Chambers with 2:6, 3:6.
