Agnes Nixon

Agnes Nixon (nee Eckhardt; born December 10, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American screenwriter and film director.

Life

Agnes Eckhardt studied at Northwestern University. As a screenwriter and film director in the soap opera All My Children, she was known in the United States. For the television series Love, lies, passion, she worked as a television director from 1968 to 1975 and for the television series All My Children from 1970 to 1981. After that she wrote only as a screenwriter for All My Children (together with Wisner Washam to 1983 and then with him and Lorraine Broderick 1988-1992 ). Due to their many years of work and their great success in the United States it is dubbed the Queen of the modern American soap opera ( Queen of the Modern American Soap Opera).

She was married to Robert Nixon and has four children.
