Agostino Lanfranchi

Agostino Lanfranchi (* June 24, 1892 in Palazzolo sull'Oglio, Brescia Province, † February 15, 1963 ) was an Italian pilot Skeleton and bobsled.

Agostino Lanfranchi took part in competitions in the Skeleton and Bobsleigh between the late 1920s and early 1940s. In 1928, he first participated at the Olympic Games in 1928 in St. Moritz and missed fourth place just a medal in the first skeleton competition in Olympic history. Four years later, he took part in the Games in Lake Placid as a bobsledder. In the two-man, he reached with his brother Gaetano Lanfranchi eighth, in foursomes with Gaetano, Italo Cassini and Count Teofilo Rossi Di Montelera fifth place. Later he took part in powerboat competitions and participated in the establishment of the events in Venice and Turin.

Lanfranchi belonged to a family of garment manufacturers. He designed it himself buttons and belt buckles.
