Ã…got Valle

Ågot Jorunn Valle ( born May 26, 1945 in Levanger ) is a Norwegian politician of the Socialist Left Party ( SV). She was from 1997 to 2009 a member of the Norwegian parliament Storting and there from 2001 to 2005 President of the Odelstings.

Valle was the daughter of Jarle Valle (1908-1960) and Charlotte Lea ( 1914-2004 ). She attended a public school until 1967 for physiotherapy. From 1968 she worked as a physiotherapist in various institutions. She began in the 1970s to become involved in local politics and moved in 1979 for the first time in the Fylkesting of Hordaland, the provincial parliament, a. From here, she moved in 1997 to the Storting. There she was three election periods long represented until 2009 for the County of Hordaland. Valle from 1997 to 2001 deputy chair of the Committee on family, culture and administration. From 2001 to 2005 was president of the Odelstings Valle, one of two chambers of the Storting.
