Agreeableness

Compatibility ( also agreeableness ) referred to in differential psychology is one of five central, factor analysis identified personality traits. People who are compatible, characterized by altruism and helpfulness. This personality trait is characterized by adjectives ( lexical approach) as compassionate, kind, warm, trusting, helpful, cooperative and forgiving.

The measurement of compatibility via personality tests. One common test is the NEO- FFI and NEO -PI -R by Costa & McCrae (see Amelang & Bartussek, 2004). A recent development is the " Trier Integrated Personality Inventory ".
