Agreement on the Conservation of Gorillas and Their Habitats

The Agreement on the Conservation of Gorillas and their Habitats ( Agreement on the Conservation of Gorillas and Their Habitats) is a multilateral environmental agreements based on the Bonn Convention. It was signed on 24 October 2007 and entered into force on 1 June 2008. The Agreement is intended to protect all species of gorilla.

Signatory countries are the Central African Republic, Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda. After entry into force of Gabon has also joined the agreement.

The original aim of the agreement was that all states participate with gorilla presence in the agreement. These include under the agreement text next to the signatory States also Angola, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea and Uganda.
