Agrofert

Agrofert is a Czech company from the agricultural trade. It has numerous subsidiaries, including nitrogen Piesteritz, Germany's largest nitrogen fertilizer producers who Lovochemie, the biodiesel producers PREOL, SDC and the bread manufacturer leeches. Agrofert was established in 1993 as a subsidiary of the state-owned foreign trade company of Tschechoslawakei, Petrimex. Agrofert is the fourth largest company in the Czech Republic and has 57,000 hectares of agricultural land ( 1.6% of total agricultural land). With the acquisition of leeches in 2013 sat Agrofert its overseas expansion continued. In the same year the media group Mafra was taken over by the Rheinisch- Bergische Verlagsgesellschaft.
