Agum III.

Agum III. was a Kassite king of Babylonia. He was the son of Kaštiliaš III. and followed his uncle Ulam Burias to the throne.

According to the chronicle of the early kings, he moved against the sea country, and took major Enlil, where he destroyed the Egalgašešna, the temple of Enlil. From Qal'at al -Bahrain in Bahrain comes a cuneiform tablet that is dated in the fourth year of the reign of Agum. Most researchers assume that this is to Agum III. concerns. Already from the reign of Burna - Burias II is known a Kassite governor of Dilmun. André- Salvini is convinced, however, that the palace of the governor was burnt at the time of Ili ippašra. The administration was perhaps moved to Failaka.
