Aharon Zisling

Aharon Zisling (Hebrew אהרון ציזלינג; born February 26, 1901 in Minsk, Russian Empire; † January 16, 1964 in Israel) was an Israeli politician, minister and signer of the Israeli Declaration of Independence.

Life

Zisling emigrated in 1904 to Palestine one. He was one of the founders of the Children and Youth Aliyah, and was one of the commanders of the Haganah. He was also one of the founders of the Palmach and the founders of the party Ahdut Haavoda. As a member of the Mapam he was under David Ben- Gurion on May 14, 1948 to March 10, 1949 Minister of Agriculture.
