AHICE

AHICE ( Art Historian Information from Central Europe) is an Internet platform with information about the history of art events in Central Europe. An ongoing project since 2004 of the International Cultural Centre ( Centrum Kultury Międzynarodowe ) in Krakow participate 180 institutions (as of March 2010) in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia.

Structure

The structure of AHICE based on the international collaboration between different institutions. After registering, they can publish short information about exhibitions, conferences and publications in AHICE.

The Moravian Gallery in Brno, the art historical institute at the Comenius University in Bratislava and the Office of Cultural Heritage in Budapest are the respective coordinators in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. The International Cultural Centre in Krakow at the same time works as a promoter and coordinator for Poland.

In 2009 took place in AHICE 941 entries about exhibitions, conferences and publications. AHICE is the only project of its kind in Central Europe at the international level.
