Ahipara

Ahipara is a municipality in the Far North district in the Northland region in the north of the North Island of New Zealand. It lies at the southern end of Ninety Mile Beach. In the west the Tauroa Peninsula Peninsula is located in the east of Herekino Forest. The Bay Ahipara Bay boundary with the village in the northwest. Kaitaia is 14 km road kilometers to the northeast, in the middle of this road is Pukepoto.

Shipwreck Bay on the southern tip of Ahipara Bay has several visible at low tide shipwrecks.

Population

In census 2013, the city had 1065 inhabitants, so that the population in 2006 fell by 70 inhabitants

Education

The school of the village is a primary school with a decile rating of 3, which is attended by 199 children for the first eight years of education (01 /2014 ). It was founded in 1872 as a missionary school in 1901 and moved to its present location.
