The Samtgemeinde Ahlden is an integrated municipality in the district of Heidekreis based in Hodenhagen.

Geography

The Samtgemeinde Ahlden is centrally located in the triangle formed by the cities of Bremen -Hamburg -Hannover. The motorways A 7 and A 27 are accessible via the ramp on the west wood at the motorway junction Walsrode. Well-known companies with logistics companies and manufacturing companies have settled in the member community Hodenhagen, companies from the service sector find good site requirements.

Even the touristy Samtgemeinde Ahlden has much to offer. The Samtgemeinde Ahlden is in the Aller-Leine Valley.

History

The Municipality was established on 1 March 1974, the local government reform of Lower Saxony.

Policy

Samtgemeinderat

  • SPD: 8 seats ( 43.8 %)
  • CDU: 7 seats ( 40.4 %)
  • FUWG: 3 seats ( 15.8%)

The full-time mayor is also represented with a seat and vote in the Council. The two voter communities form a common group in Samtgemeinderat.

Samtgemeinde Mayor

On September 10, 2006 Heinz -Günter Klöpper was elected as a full-time mayor Samtgemeinde with effect from 1 November 2006.

The integrated municipality mayor is next to the Samtgemeinderat and the Committee Samtgemeinde the third organ of the velvet municipality with important self- decision powers. He is the head of the velvet municipality administration, carries out the decisions of the other institutions and represents the Municipality to the outside. So he is also representative of the velvet municipality Ahlden.

Education

In Samtgemeinde area six kindergartens, two primary schools and one high school are available.
