Ahmad I ibn Mustafa

Ahmad I. al -Husayn († 1855) was Bey of Tunis ( 1837-1855 ).

I. Ahmad took over the government of Mustafa al -Husayn ( 1835-1837 ). Under him the country's modernization, the first focused on the army and the fleet began. In addition, slavery was abolished in 1846 and lifted restrictions on Jews.
