Ahmed Haroun

Ahmad Muhammad Harun (Arabic: أحمد محمد هارون ) ( short Ahmad Harun ) was 2005-2009 Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs in Sudan, since 2009 he is governor of the state Dschanub Kordofan.

He belongs to the Bargo strain of West Darfur, is a trained lawyer and a part of the National Congress Party (NCP ) on.

He's wanted since February 27, 2007 for war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Darfur conflict in the period from August 2003 to March 2004 by the International Court in The Hague. During this period he was Sudanese Interior Minister. He is recruiting, financing and arming the Janjaweed militias attributed as chairman of the Darfur Security desk, which are responsible for most crimes in the Darfur conflict.
