Ahmed Hulusi

Ahmed Hulusi ( born January 21, 1945 in Istanbul, Turkey) is a Turkish journalist and author who mainly deals with Islam.

Life

Hulusis youth and school days went by without a deep religious upbringing. He reported that he was appointed by the visit of the Friday prayer to felt until after the death of his father in 1963 to comply with the rules of Islam for cleaning and for the prayers. He began with an intensive study of the Koran and the interpretations by scholars, for example, in the Sahih al -Bukhari. In 1965 he made ​​as prescribed by Islam pilgrimage to Mecca, the Hajj. In the same year he wrote his first book on theological issues with the title Tecelliyat ( flashbacks ).

During his work as a journalist for the Turkish newspaper Aksam Hulusi dealt with ghosts and the calls of ghosts and published in 1970 the first book of Turkey on this issue Ruh, İnsan, Cin ( spirit, mankind, jinn ). To date, he has written on topics of Islam over two dozen partially multi-volume works, some of which have been transferred into other European languages ​​. These works deal among others with issues of Islamic mysticism, Sufism and the modern sciences. They were published by the publisher Kitsan publication in Istanbul.

The Hulusis fonts are not accepted by traditional conservative Islamic theologians. In various works of his critics try to show that his interpretation of Islam is wrong. Thus, for instance, pointed out that he interprets the Koran wrong because he was not a native speaker of the Arabic language.

After the so-called post-modern coup, the National Security Council of the Turkish military of 28 February 1997 Hulusi and his wife went abroad, first for a year to London and then to the USA. There they still live withdrawn in a small town.
