Ahmed Zaki (actor)

Ahmed Zaki (Arabic: احمد ذكي, Ahmad Zaky ), ( born November 18, 1949 in Zagazig, † 27 March 2005 in 6th of October City ), was an Egyptian film actor.

Ahmad Zaki was born about 50 miles north of Cairo / Egypt. In 1967 he first visited the craft school, but then traveled to Cairo, where he attended drama school, before he moved to the Cairo School of dramaturgy in 1974.

His first film, Abnaa Elsamt (child of silence ), he turned in 1974. In 1980, he starred in six films, including the film Alexandria ... Why? with the famous director Youssef Chahine in Egypt. Overall, Ahmad Zaki starred in 60 films.

Many of his films were written by Wahid Hamed and contained political messages, especially the themed corruption of politicians and police. He also had appearances in the popular TV musical series Howa we Heya with actress Souad Houssni and in successful action films, which originated in the middle and late 1990s.

Ahmad Zaki was a heavy smoker. Despite intensive medical care at Dar Al Fouad Hospital in 6th of October City ( just outside of Cairo ), he died of lung cancer shortly after he President Hosni Mubarak had offered to send him at government expense for medical treatment in France. Later, post-mortem, the price of Arts Merit for his work in over 50 films, he was awarded.
