Ahmet Yesevi University

The Ahmed Yesevi University ( Kazakh Қ. А. Ясауи атындағы Халықаралық қазақ - түрік университеті, Turkish Hoca Ahmet Türk Yesevi Uluslararası Kazak University, Russian Международный казахско - турецкий университет имени Х. А. Яссави ) is a Kazakh- Turkish University in the Kazakh city ​​Turkestan. Was named the university after Ahmed Yesevi founded in 1991.

History

The establishment of a university was planned even before the collapse of the Soviet Union, but the name of this state university Turkestan should wear. It was founded on June 6, 1991 decision of the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Between Nazarbayev and Süleyman Demirel, the then Prime Minister of Turkey, in 1992 an agreement in the fields of education, science, culture and sport has been completed, after which the state university Turkestan should be a joint university of both countries.

In 1993 and 1999, the pädogogische Institute in Shymkent and the pädogogische Institute in Taras were incorporated into the Ahmed Yesevi University.
