Aholming transmitter

The transmitter Aholming is a 500 -kW longwave transmitter of Media Broadcast GmbH for the frequency 207 kHz near Aholming in Lower Bavaria. He shines as the transmitter Donebach from the program of the Germany radio.

The technical equipment is largely consistent with that of the transmitter Donebach. As with the transmitter Donebach is a directional antenna consisting of two grounded guyed lattice steel masts, used to be supplied by the backstays with the radiated RF energy. However, the poles of the transmitter Aholming are lower than that of the transmitter in Donebach due to the higher transmission frequency with 265 meters.

The transmitter Aholming went into operation on 1 January 1989 and replaced the transmitter in Erching that (only one pole exists), caused by conditions had to shut the Geneva wave plan, at night because of the lack of opportunity for application of directional radiation.

2008, the old tube station was replaced by a transistorized system of Transradio SenderSysteme Berlin. Since February 15, 2008 includes the transmitter to broadcast media.
