Ahone

Ahone (German Big Bunny ) was the chief god of the original residents of the U.S. state of Virginia Powhatan Indians and related Algonkinstämme. In their creation myth created Ahone land, animals and people.

After Ahone had created man, he found it too dangerous for them to stay in the world and brought them to protect them first in his burrow under. There he defended it against malicious spirits, and especially against the gods of the four winds. The latter had originally supported Ahone in his act of creation, but later became envious of Ahones creation and now they wanted to destroy.
