Ai Otsuka

Ai Ōtsuka (Japanese大 冢 爱, born September 9, 1982) is a Japanese singer- songwriter from the Osaka Prefecture, Japan. Best known it was her hit Sakuranbo from 2003, which was 96 weeks long in the Japanese charts.

Life

Ōtsuka Ai is the Japanese record label avex trax under contract, which also produces other high-class artists such as Ayumi Hamasaki, BoA, Namie Amuro, and Every Little Thing.

Their first single from 2003, Momo no Hanabira was only granted a comparatively small success: it reached only number 24 on the Oricon singles Top 100, but held for at least 21 weeks in the charts. Their next single Sakuranbo, published in December 2003, already reached the twelfth place among the hundred best-selling singles of 2004. She climbed gradually progressing up to number five on the singles chart and remained in it for 96 weeks. Then they came in a " encore press" version again on the market, which reached number four in the charts. In March 2004, Ōtsuka Ai published her first album Love Punch, which debuted at number three on the Oricon charts and sold within the first week more than 320,000 times. In November 2004 his successor Love Jam was presented with an even greater commercial success. Their third album Love Cook came on 14 December 2005 on the market and placed itself at number one on the Oricon charts. Over 335,000 recordings were sold in the first week alone after launch.

Ōtsuka Ai Yumekui single was released on 2 August 2006. The piece is Tokyo Friends of the group " Sabakan " sung in the film where Otsuka Ai plays the main role. On March 28, 2007 she released her first best -of album Ai am BEST, which alone in the first week, reaching number one on the charts with over 350,000 records sold. 2007 also appeared the first two singles from her under the stage name LOVE. The name comes from the designed by Ai rabbits 'Love'. However, none of the singles reached the Top 20 on the charts. Your fourth studio album Love Piece appeared in September 2007 and also reached number 1 on the charts. In December 2008 they released their fifth studio album, LOVE LETTER. In the fall of 2010, she announced that she was pregnant. Father of the child is her husband SU of the hip hop group Rip Slyme, with whom she previously worked together a song on their second best-of album for the new recording. The marriage of the two already took place in June. On 24 March 2011 they were also known to have had a daughter.

After a long pause, in which Ōtsuka Ai focused on their new family life, she gave in 2013 through its official website announced that she was working on a new musical project which later as a new band called Rabbit proved. Your first studio album Rabito appeared in the same year, but could not prove a commercial success themselves.
