Ai Ueda

Ai Ueda (Japanese上 田 蓝, Ai Ueda; born October 26 1983 in Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture) is a Japanese duathlete and triathlete. She was Japanese national champion in triathlon in 2007 and Asia - Triathlon Champion 2005 and 2008 and Duathlon World Champion 2013. Denies together with Kiyomi Niwata the Dextro Energy World Championship Series and took with it in 2008, Japan in the Olympic Games in Beijing.

Ai Ueda's parents and her brother are Kimono artists, they moved in 2002 right after her school exams to Chiba to devote himself to triathlon. That same year, she became Junior Champion Asia.

ITU competitions

In the nine years from 2002 to 2010 Ai Ueda took part in 88 ITU competitions and achieved 29 times top ten courses, including 12 gold medals.
