The Ajdar ( Russian and Ukrainian Айдар, also Адар, Айдор, Aidar ) is a left tributary of the Seversky Donets Oblast Belgorod in Russian and Ukrainian Oblast Luhansk.
The Ajdar rises on the southern edge of the Central Russian plate in the Belgorod Oblast. It flows in a southerly direction in the Luhansk Oblast. It flows through the small towns here Rovenki, Nowopskow, Starobilsk and Nowoajdar and ends after 264 km on the left into the Seversky Donets. The catchment area covers 7420 km ². The river is used for irrigation.
