Geography
Aidlingen located in Heckengäu and is used by Bach Aid, created from Aisch ( sow ) from Dachtel and Irm traversed from Gechingen.
Community structure
The present municipality was created by integration of previously independent municipalities Dachtel, Deufringen after Aidlingen early 1970s.
In the main statute of the community Aidlingen the four districts Aidlingen, Dachtel, Deufringen and feudal hamlet are reported. These four districts form residential districts within the loggerhead part of local choice. The districts Dachtel and Deufringen also form villages within the meaning of Baden-Württemberg municipal code, each with its own mayor and Ortschaftsrat.
The municipality Aidlingen within the limits of 31 August 1971, the village Aidlingen and the places Kirchtalhof, Kuehne Mountain, feudal hamlet, Lindenhof and Würmtalhof and dialed villages Laiddorf belong (?), Himburg and pan castle. For the former municipality Dachtel the village and former municipality Dachtel Deufringen part of the village Deufringen and dialed villages Brunn heaps and Sighartstal.
History
In the district Aidlingen ( " Otelingen " ) had 843 the monastery of Reichenau possession. It sold Fronhof and church set in 1355 to the Lords of Bondorf who both turn in 1365 the Counts of Württemberg leaving, which also acquired the share of the Count Palatine of Tübingen in the 14th century. Servants of the Count Palatine sat as Ortsadlige in Aidlingen. The Nikolai church, built in 1470 Aberlin Jörg than fortified church in a dominant height. In 1850, the inhabitants driven mostly arable farming and beside still cloth making, hand spinning and basket weaving. Since 1927, a deaconess mother house of the Christian Association for women and girls with Bible and domestic science school is located. After the Second World War established the Catholic church 1949/50, a church at the Sonnenberg. Also originated in the East on the road to the building areas Böblingen " Ostheim " and "Cherry heap" (1959-1960), which from 1966 to 1976 the building area " Sonnenberg ", north of the old village joined. In the West, made the local extensions " Buchhalde " and " bath ", which was followed by a small commercial area.
This development made the further expansion of public facilities necessary. It both new kindergartens ( Aidlingen and feudal hamlet in 1970 and 1972) as well as schools were built ( Buchhalde school in 1952, Sonnenberg School 1971). Large-scale landscape and nature reserves provide for the preservation of the typical landscape of the sloes and Heckengaeu.
Incorporations
In the course of municipal reform in Baden- Württemberg Dachtel the community was incorporated after Aidlingen on September 1, 1971 December 1, 1971, the inclusion Deufringens.

Attractions
- The Nikolai church in Aidlingen was first mentioned in 1275 and received in 1470 a choir - side tower system of Aberlin Jörg. Among the art treasures of the church include the late Gothic choir stalls with Saints busts to 1510.
