Aija Province

Aija is one of 20 provinces which make up the Ancash region in Peru. The provincial capital is the same place Aija. The province is bordered on the north by the province of Huaraz, on the west by the province huarmey and to the south and east by the province Recuay. In the 696.72 km ² area were living in 2005, 8,740 inhabitants, which corresponds to a population density of 12.5 inhabitants per km ².
