The Ailao Mountains (Chinese哀牢山, Pinyin Ailao Shān; Hani: Hhaqlol haolgaoq ) is located in the central southern area of ​​southwest China's Yunnan Province. It forms the watershed between the rivers Yuanjiang元 江( Red River ) and Amo Jiang阿 墨 江. It forms the boundary line between the Yunnan highlands and the Hengduan Mountains.
