The Ailette is a river in France, which runs in the Picardie region in the département of Aisne. It rises in the municipality of Sainte -Croix and dehydrated generally in the direction of west to northwest. In Monampteuil the Ailette the Canal de l' Oise à l' Aisne reached doped in this basin of Monampteuil with water and then passes north of the canal at a short distance. In the opening section of the river swings to the southwest, crosses under the channel and opens after a total of 60 kilometers below Manicamp, as a left tributary of the Oise.
