Aimé, duc de Clermont-Tonnerre

Aimé Marie Gaspard de Clermont- Tonnerre, marquis de Clermont- Tonnerre, duc de Clermont- Tonnerre (* November 27, 1779 in Paris, † January 8, 1865 at Schloss Glisolles ) was a French general and minister.

His parents were Gaspard de Clermont- Tonnerre Paulin ( Clermont- Tonnerre house, * 1750, † 1842) and Anne Marie Louise Bernard de Rieux (House Boulainvilliers, * 1758, † 1781).

Clermont- Tonnerre joined the French army, made the campaigns in Italy, Germany and Spain, and in 1808 adjutant of the King of Naples, in whose favor and service he remained from then on.

After 1814, he joined the French army with the rank of colonel back, Maréchal de camp was and after the second return of the king Peer of France and commander of the Guard cavalry.
