AIMP

AIMP ( Artem Izmaylov Media Player ) is a free music player for Microsoft Windows. It was originally written by the Russian software developer Artyom Izmajlov. Meanwhile, a team of developers has taken the software development. The program is characterized by high functional diversity with low resource consumption.

Functions

Besides the necessary functions for playing various music formats AIMP It also has features for managing music archives, for example a tagging module and a converter for various audio formats. The interface of the program is similar to the free Winamp skinnable. Support for video files does not offer AIMP.

Criticism

The software is evaluated differently in the public eye; so AIMP is often referred because of reminiscent of Winamp interface and operation as Winamp plagiarism, but also positively evaluated because of the low resource consumption generally.
