Aiptasia
Glass Rose ( Aiptasia sp.)
Aiptasia ( Aiptasia ) are small, golden - yellow translucent sea anemones. They live worldwide in tropical and subtropical seas, and with the species Aiptasia Aiptasia mutabilis diaphana and also in the Mediterranean.
In salt-water aquaria they are considered as the Fire anemone ( Anemonia cf majano ) as pests, as they multiply very rapidly, displacing coral. You go often with live rock in the aquarium, where they spread quickly through the pinching off of daughter polyps.
