Air compressor
Compressed air systems provide in many areas inside and outside the industry pneumatic energy efficient means of expansion of compressed air available.
There is usually a compressed air system from the pressure generator, the pressure accumulator and distribution devices. In detail, these are the following components:
- Compressor / compressor as a pressure generator
- Oil filter
- Dryer (often two parallel units for operation and regeneration)
- Dust filter
- Windkessel as compressed air energy storage, equipped with Pressure gauge with pressure indicator and pressure boundary marker ( required by TRBS )
- Pressure relief valve
- Pressure switch
- Pressure control valve
- Air Filters
- Drainage with bottom outlet
- Oil mist device
If required, a compressed air system may also contain the following components:
- Pressure reducer
Except for the often placed separately Windkessel storage volume compressor, dryer and control as a compact unit for smaller systems up to 400 liters usually on a mounting frame together (Package Unit).
For the interpretation of the air pressure ( in bar), the most important variable. Typical design pressures are in bar 7, but also pressures 4-13 bar are accessible.
A distinction is made between dry air and air, the oil was added.
The compressed air distribution system is often used in practice as an energy supplier for pneumatic tools; among others, the following tools are common:
- Stud gun
- Pneumatic hammers
- Pneumatic Nailer
- Air grinders
- Pneumatic screwdrivers
- Ratchet with pneumatic drive
- Scalers
Common uses are also Reifenfüllstationen at gas or compressed air- operated devices in car washes.
